New York
:
Cambridge
University
Press, 2001. Lomborg is a
statistics and political science professor in
Denmark
(and former a Green Peace member) who happened upon an essay about the
environmental progress the world is making.
Lomborg and a group of students used their statistical tools to confront
the claims in the article. He says
that while there were a few claims that could be disproved, he came to believe
that most of the positive claims were accurate.
A main value of his book is that Lomborg gives an overview of
environmental problems and progress so that the public can decide how best to
use available resources to confront environmental issues.
